Banpu was rated as one of the companies in the top quartile of ‘Corporate Governance Report of Thai Listed Companies’, according to the survey conducted by IOD with 337 listed companies. |

Based on a survey of the total 234 listed companies, Banpu was ranked by the Thai Institute of Directors (IOD) as one of the top 50 companies with good corporate governance. The survey results were announced in the ’Strengthening Corporate Governance Practices in Thailand 2002’ report at the ‘Disclosure of Thai Listed Companies’ Corporate Governance Assessment’ seminar which has been organized for three consecutive years. This serves as another source of pride for Banpu, as it reflects the Company’s continuous implementation of good corporate governance standards. |

Banpu was granted an upgrade in credibility from “A-” to “A” by TRIS Rating Company Limited. |

Banpu received the ‘Disclosure Report Award’ from the Securities and Exchange Commission of Thailand (SEC) for the Company’s clarity of information disclosure and its compliance with disclosure requirements, as stated in both the Information Disclosure Report and the 2002 Financial Statement. |

Banpu was awarded the ‘Best Corporate Governance Report’ at the SET Awards 2003, organized by The Stock Exchange of Thailand and the Money & Banking Magazine, to honor listed companies, brokerage firms and asset management companies with excellence. The Award was given to listed companies with outstanding compliance to the good corporate governance practices, by taking into consideration annual registration statements (Form 56-1), annual reports, invitation letters to shareholders’ meetings, and minutes of shareholders’ meetings. In addition, Banpu was one of the four companies that qualified for the final round to win the ‘Best Performance – Resources’ award. |
