Banpu received from Forbes Magazine the ‘Best Under a Billion’ Award, which was given to 200 publicly traded companies with total sales of under 1 billion US Dollars in the Asia Pacific region, a good track record on sustained growth and profitability, as well as management teams with business models focusing on both domestic and international sales. Banpu was ranked one of the Top Three Listed Companies with Excellence in Investor Relations out of the SET50 listed companies, and one of the Top 10 Listed Companies with Excellence in CSR. The awards were co-organized by the SET and the Money & Banking Magazine. |

Banpu received the ‘2006 Asia's Best Managed Companies in the Metals & Mining Sector’ certificate from Euromoney Institutional Investor Plc. The award was based on a survey of market analysts at 67 leading banks and research institutes in Asia, on the criteria of business strength, profitability, growth potential and management quality. |

Banpu received the ‘Distinction in Maintaining Excellent CG Report’ certificate at the SET Awards 2006. This certificate is granted to Banpu for the second year, in recognition of being a listed company that received the ‘Best Corporate Governance Report’ Award for two consecutive years (in 2004 and 2005) and having consistently maintained its high report standards in strict compliance with the SET’s 15 corporate governance principles. |

Banpu was ranked as one of the Top Nine Listed Companies with Excellence in Corporate Governance Organized by the Thai Institute of Directors Association (IOD), the Securities and Exchange Commission of Thailand (SEC) and The Stock Exchange of Thailand (SET), the survey was conducted among 402 listed companies according to five major criteria: shareholders’ rights, equitable treatment of shareholders, roles of stakeholders, disclosure and transparency, and the Board’s responsibilities. |
