The Finance Asia website ranked Banpu 5th of the 8 Best Managed Companies, 4th of the 7 Best Corporate Governance Companies, and 4th of the 6 Best Corporate Social Responsibility Companies. In addition, Ms. Somruedee Chaimongkol was ranked 3rd of the Best Chief Financial Officers. The rankings were based on an annual survey of 265 analysts and investors across Asia.

Banpu was ranked 4th among the 300 Best Public Companies of the Year 2012, and 2nd in the resources sector by Money & Banking Magazine. Based on the business analysis (as of the year-end 2011) of SET’s top 300 listed companies with the highest market capitalization, the rankings took into consideration three criteria i.e. company size (market value, assets, and shareholder’s equity); profitability (sales, revenue, net profit, earnings per share, and return on total revenues); and return on investment (return on equity, return on asset, and dividend yield).

Banpu was ranked one of the Top 59 Listed Companies with Excellent Corporate Governance Scoring as well as one of the 27 Top Quartile Listed Companies by Over THB 10,000 Million Market Capitalization, according to the Corporate Governance Report of Thai Listed Companies 2012. The Report was developed by the Thai Institute of Directors Association (IOD), in collaboration with the Securities and Exchange Commission of Thailand (SEC) and The Stock Exchange of Thailand (SET).
